EMP Recycling actively implements and develops principles of circular economy and climate protection through its wide range of waste treatment activities.

Certificates and licenses

EMP Recycling is certified and adheres to standards. The scope of the certificates covers the collection, logistics, and recycling of secondary raw materials (electrical and electronic equipment, catalysts and scrap cables, non-ferrous and ferrous metals).

WEEELABEX Certificate of Conformity to the European Standard:

  • Collection and logistics (all WEEE categories);

Green energy and GHG emissions

EMP Recycling’s greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions are calculated in the following areas:

Area 1 – Direct GHG emissions

Direct GHG emissions from GHG emission sources owned or controlled by the company. Direct GHG emissions cover:

  • vehicle emissions;

Area 2 – Indirect GHG emissions

Indirect GHG emissions refer to the third-party production of electricity, heat, or steam consumed within the organisation. Indirect GHG emissions cover:

  • emissions related to electricity consumption;
  • emissions related to thermal energy consumption;

Area 3 – Other indirect emissions

All other indirect emissions from the company’s activities that come from sources beyond the company’s control. The company does not yet track these emissions.
